not being a smart ass, but 2 mods have visited this thread and its still open? And the guy is all shit? Why is it still open? So another person ask how to do it?

some guy named ritzcracker has already tryed this. he basically took tetris and reanamed it to psp update 2.10 and it starts to work but the screen goes black and stops. so hes pretty close but not there i dont know if anything else has happened yet

A downgrader from 1.51 and 1.52 to 1.50 is to be released sept 1st by a well known psp-dev team! All uks psps have 1.52 so get ready!!!
p.s. 2.0 is on the umd demo so meaning DONT PUT IT IN!

BS. It's Firmware 1.52 (at least here in Frankfurt Germany as of 11.25CET),. Firmware 2.0 is on the Demo Disc meaning DON'T USE! For the time being!

And about that Sept 1 Hack you'all been talking about! I wouldn't hold my breath. If there IRC Channel was anything to go by there a buch of Hosers. After spending Five Minits in that Room I wouldn't let there Sh*t near my PSP!

Why wouldnt you let them near your psp they have come out with a great program b4 Wab Version Changer V2 it makes your psp think its 1.51 or 1.52 and even 2.0 to play games that require updates so you dont need to i think this program is promising

a thought here. Some games have upgades attached to them for example "Midnight Club Dub Edition" has a 1.50 update in it. I also heard it is possible to backup your own game onto a memory card. I am not technically saavy but maybe this realization will help those of you who are. If this has already been thought of please let me know.

what's the point of your thought, though? the games may force an upgrade, but they can't force a downgrade. it's unfortunate :(

TALL_GUY has just sent me an email which appears to be a downgrade video from WAB. Together Team PSP-DEV and WAB have developed what apparently is a 1.5x firmware downgrader. Equipped with a sexy little introduction and soundtrack, the video portrays a user downgrading their firmware. Its also been rumoured this downgrade will work with 2.0.
Unfortunately this is pure speculation at the moment. Stay tuned and wait! Perhaps the downgrader will be made available to the public soon"
not too good.... im still trying to convince my friend to give me his psp lol its a 1.5 and he doesnt use ANY homebrew.... kinda sad... but o well. maby if i get a new psp (in the box and all he'll trade lol

i found i good idea for us to win the battle against sony's stupid 2.0 ,
y dosent the hackers ( WAB ) and PSP-DEV make a new update that dosent have illegal and codes and all the things that make you not run homebrew it is easyer than trying to make a downgrader and fail and watever this will take less than the stupid downgrade

oh my god...damn y didnt they think of that.....sh*t sherlock......anyway mate im so glad your on this forum and not on any others.....you obviously dnt know what you talking about...world was created in seven days but you think sony created the PSP in overnight.......it would take very very long time for them to re-write OS for PSP.

ya don't you see all the program they are making even is they just make an update woth nothing and then we can use the program that can trick your psp into thinking that it is 2.0 by pushing tringle and square tricks it into thinking it's 1.5
so that way it will be way tooo easyer

you can't imagin how much 2.0's sucurtiy is
it's impossible to crack it...

i got a pro. called pbp unpacker
and got an firmware 1.50
and then opend the PARAM.SFO and changed every thing that says 1.50
to 2.01
well not all
and then open it from the psp then the psp will think that it is going to 2.01 but it is actually going back to 1.50
good idea eh
remmeber just an idea,ok

i don't get why everyone wants to do this crap to their PSPs. they're not made for it! the psp was not designed to run windows, or emulators, or the loads of other crap people want to put on it. the only reason, i think, why anyone would do that is so they can go to their friends and say, "look what i did. i'm so cool. i'm a l33t haxxor" or whatever. That's truly, to me, pointless crap, as the functionality of such mods is so limited that is becomes a pain.
the only real reason to downgrade one's firmware and continue to crack is to play pirated games, especially because most legit games are going to come with firmware updates. and hell, that sounds great to me! you're playing psp games, then.
if you need windows to carry around with you, get a Palm or something...you'll actually be able to use it to its full abilities. i mean, come on, guys...be realistic. no matter what you do it, a two-stroker motor off a weed-eater is not going to propel a muscle car down the drag strip in 10 seconds flat. while an exaggeration, that seems to fit what you're trying to do.

hey in case you guys didnt know there is a valid downgrade method on pspupdates.com. I'm currently looking for the version 1.5 eboot so i can make sure this works, the eboot on the site doesnt correctly download but the software to downgrade does. If someone can send me the 1.5 eboot ill let you know if it works. im trying to downgrade jp 2.00 so i can reupgrade to us 2.00
