I dunno what you mean by "bricks". I tried to play my Madden 06 after reflashing it to 1.50 and it complained about requiring an update. I used Wab's version changer and now Madden 06 works fine :)

I never needed the downgrader cause I imported a JAP 1.5 PSP but its cool that now all Europeans can enjoy homebrew too :-)

Dear all, I have just bought a PSP with Japanese ver1.51. I understand that you need to upgrade it to Ver2.0 before you can downgrade it to 1.5. However, when I do a wireless update, the current ver is 2.1. Does this downgrade process applies to ver 2.1? If not how do I get an upgrade to ver 2.0?

I have not upgraded to Ver2.1 yet. Don't worry. I just cannot find ver2.0. I am still on ver1.5. There is no demo disk shipped with my unit. So where can I get ver2.0 upgrade?

I mean I am still on ver1.51. I have the file to upgrade to ver2.1 (downloaded wirelessly) but did not execute the upgrade. In fact I have deleted the eboot for ver2.1 after seeing the reply above. So if anyone have a eboot for ver2.0, please provide it to me. Thanks.

I downloaded the downgrader and when unzipping the files
it comes up that the file overflow.tif is a trojan virus:
Trojan.PSPBrick.
Is this normal or have i got a dodgy file ? Thanks.

The virus alert is just because the downgrader accesses your firmware, if you want the Eboot, go to PSP Updates

Hi can any one help please?
I have a v1.51 psp that I would like to take to v1.50. I understand that to get to v1.50 I need to get to V2.0 then downgrade, my problem is that the only upgrade i can find is V2.5O, and there is no downgader available for this version, (at the moment) can any one point me in the direction of a v2.0 firmware download please, or a current way of getting from v1.51 to v1.50

If you get the downgrader from psp-hacks.com then I can promise it's ok. I used it from that site and had no problems. That's one of the more reputable sites I believe. Also, from what I read, some of the code used in these homebrew programs is similar to the code in malicious files, so they will appear dangerous to an antivirus program, but are actually safe.
