I did run it through VSODivxToDVD and it went from a little over 4g to over 9g so it was too big to burn using Nero and single disc. Can you tell me which setting to use
Application Settings:
GENERAL;
Format of saved media files.: Portable Networth Graphics (png)
JPEG File Inte4rchange Format(jpg)
PC Paintbrush File Format(pcx)
Tagged Image File Format(tif) or Word Perfect Graphic Bitmap(wpg)
these appear under GENERAL tab of NeroVisionExpress SE which is what I am using.

Now I'm lost.
If I understand them correctly, then the above are not movie files or extensions -- they're picture files or extensions only.
WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files. How 2 downgrade Samsung BD-D5XXX Series Bluray playerhttp://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4244
Now I'm lost also. Here's an idea - as the original AVI or whatever is already 4odd gigabytes and DivXtoDVD has ballooned that to 8 or whatever gigabytes, you could use DVD Shrink to shrink it back down. Not ideal and a pain in the backsize, but as isaid before, the original file was the same size as a dvd which is why I thought the file you downloaded was already in dvd format. Its not an ISO file is it, ie it just needs burning and voila it appears as a movie on the blank dvd ???. (What I don't know offhand is whether DivXtoDVD supports iso's hence why my reply may be completely off the wall but you see where I'm coming fromm...
With the other 2 videos that I have burned I used the same process., captured video to H/D in mpeg format (they were both 3hour videos) and then just burned them on a single layer DVD using NeroVision Express........no problems, its only this particular video(which was recorded on same VCR as others). This arvo I burned it using TMPGEnc DVD Author with no problems so I cammot fathom why it doesn't work using Nero. Nero will go through transcoding process and then FREEZE even aborting doesnt help I cant get out of Nero without rebooting comp.
Creaky and Alkohol, thanks for the time you've put in on this thread.I will transfer my next video onto H/D and see how that one turns out. Its a difficult one I know so I will leave this one go as a mystery and see what happens tomorrow. Once again thanks for all your help. If the worst comes to the worst I can always use TMPGEnc DVD Author, it's omly a trial, having limited funds cannot purchase any more progs....Nero cost me $90.00Aus so I have to get use out of it. LOL.
Just an update to all those who contributed to this thread, I was able to successfully burn new project(video no4) using Nero, what ever occurred to the last attempted project will have to stay a Nero mystery.
