Bay...
Ok, I can try the video drivers and Direct X, but...exactly what video drivers are you referring to??
It would seem that if it functioned in 2000, it would function in XP, but????
Maybe not?
Let me know about the drivers so I can try and locate them.
Thanks!

The Video drivers are specific to your video card. There may be two versions (or more): Microsoft and Original Manufacturer (referred to as OEM) for "XP". Figure out which one you have and try the other.

the reason prassi wont burn some dvd files is because it checks the ifo files on the dvd you are about to burn and if they are not correct it refuses to burn the dvdr because it decides it will not play when burnt. If you use ifoedit to correct the vts sectors and save the results then prassi will burn the file no problem. The ifo file states the size and length of the data on the dvd and when you rip a dvd to harddrive it sometimes alters the size of the files. Ifoedit corrects this problem.

I have only copied about 50 DVD's but this is an easy splitting solution that I haven't seen on a guide or site. If you just rip the .vob files (say it's 8gigs) put half of them in one folder (disk one) and half in another (disk 2) then put them in a folder called "VIDEO_TS" then simply rename the .vob files to VTS_01_1, VTS_01_2,... etc. in each folder. Next you run ifoedit .09 and create the .ifo files. Get VTS sectors and burn them one at a time in Nero ISO/UDF. You wind up with two DVD's that play from the beginning of the movie (without menus) in a standard settop DVD player mine is a panasonic. Does anyone know how to burn a DVD with MP3's that will play in a set top?

Hey, on my computer i have a DVD Drive and a Compact Disc Drive. I just rented a 2-disc movie from blockbuster and want to know how to burn it. I have a CD Burning Program (Adaptec Direct Cd) and want to know if i can burn both on a regular CD-R or RW. If i need a different program to download tell me what it is and if i need a blank CD or DVD.

Hey Guys,
Great information... I have been able to split a 7gig movie over two DVD-R disks and it works great... menus and all... So then I tried to get a single disk movie to work. I burned a test copy to DVD-RW and it played fine in my burner and on my settop box. So I thought I was set. I went back and burned another copy to DVD-R using the latest nero. The disk works fine in my burner but not on the settop system. I was reading about the other poster that had the same problem but when I ripped my disk I selected everything... the only thing I can say is odd, is that when you insert the disk it starts playing the movie instantly but does not goto the menu... if you select the menu it will come up but it does not go straight to it... is it possible one of the IFO files is incorrectly pointing to the movie and thats what is throwing the settop box off?
I am quite the newbie at this so I appreciate the help.
thanks,
Tex

Well, that's probably what I should do to copy a copyright dvd, but I can't find anywhere to download Primo DVD, since my Pioneer A04 came without it...
Any URL for the download?
Thank you.

Mosaic Writes:
BTW I need a little advice with demux/remux of an m2v. I have been getting random frame stutters (sticking for a quarter second or so) when I remux an m2v back into a VOB. Same result with ifoedit or VOBedit. This only happens in SOME movies like The Phantom Menace and Disney titles. Its not rempeg because right after angle stripping I can demux an original m2v then remux back into the movie (no Reencode) and the stutters are back at the EXaCT frames every time. So its somthing in the demux/remux process thats repeatable...ergo solvable....any ideas?
This is my exact same problem, I thought I was the only one. Has anyone figured this out yet?
-Thanks

I'm confused about one thing.
DVD-R's are 4.7GB (notice the GB?)
Primo is detecting:
4,766.55 MB = 4998089932.8 Bytes = 4.65483 GB
4.65483 < 4.7
So why the HECK wont Primo burn my dvd? Ever since veritas took over this product, I cant find any support for it.
Ideas? Thanks,
Justin

Update:
Primo says my DVD-R's only have 4489.25MB Free:
4489.25Mb = 4707319808 Bytes = 4.384033203125 GB
4.38GB = 4.7GB???????
Seems to me that they used 4.7GB as slang and really means 4,700,000,000. But in REALITY that only comes to ~ 4.38GB. Sounds like Class Action Suite time to me...... am I missing something?
