get an ide controller pci card, put both rom drives on the card & put the hd onto the motherboard ide connector.

being that the seagate needs an ide connector to plug into on the motherboard & you only have 1 that is filled with the 2 rom drives, get an ide pci controller card to fit into 1 of your empty pci slots & do what i said above.

so all i got to do is get the ide connector and connect that to the seagate drive?
do i need to do anything with the dell drive?
also how much will it cost and whcih brand is preferred

If you don't want to spend the $58 bucks then you are out of luck. Return the HDD and get a different one or sell the HDD.

I would have to agree with scubabud. That thing yeah posted look's shoody and not worth it. Yeah want to trade? I got a brand new 120 gig ide drive seagate. If yeah sata is the same gig as mine Im willing to trade even steven.

i found another ide pci controller that is cheaper and it has 2x ide plugs and i dont need four of em
