Ok update I installed Service Pack 2 for Windows XP, ripped an original ISO of my own (Dead or Alive 2), tried to burn it to a dvd but still no dice.

THIS REALLY SUCKS.

I never liked Windows XP anyway. I'm going to wipe my hard drive and install Windows 2000 Pro and see if it helps any. I highly doubt it though.

Update in about 2 hrs.

What dvd writer have you got? and does it have the latest firmware?

This problem is bugging me... it's probably something really simple, that if I could see your computer and stuff would have it figured out in like 5 mins. I don't like to be beaten!!

Paddy, Check the "PROBLEMS WITH TAIYO YUDEN DVD-R" thread. I posted there.
Crap, I was going to say I would give you full remote desktop access to my computer, but I no longer run XP, as stated in the previous post.

No worries, it probably wouldn't help to be able to do that anyway... it's more of a hands-on kind of thing, checking wires and settings etc.. Let's just use the other thread for now ok? - it's getting confusing talking across 3 threads about the same problem, LOL.

Have you burned any that did work?
What other than swap magic are you using as a mod? Like slidecard, slimtool, magicx swiitch.
The only time i ever received an Insert a bigger TOC message whas if i accidently pressed eject instead of using the flip top (aftermarket of course).

Things already stated but very important.
1. burn at half the speed of the DVD's you have
2. make sure you shut down anything else that could be running like antivirus software when you burn, and do not use the PC at all when burning them.
3. Burn the MDS file with DVD Decrypter, not the ISO
4. try a different program just for kicks, like a trial version of Nero or Alcohol 120%. Although i have done hundreds of back ups with DVD Decrypter and it has yet to fail me.
5. make sure your burners firmware is the latest one.

Paddymail is right, it is usually something small.
Have you tried doing a movie on those DVD's?
Have you tried any other brands, other than Memorex which completely suck?
most of the games you listed should not need rebuilding

All right I just got a new different batch of TY DVD-R media and it is still not working. It is 8x media being burned a 4x using DVD Decrypter. It still didn't work. I keep getting 'not valid ps2 disc'. This is the 2nd batch of TY media i've purchased :(

I'm probably going to make a new thread. This is probably confusing the hell out of people so they don't bother to read through it.
