I beat Sephiroth at Lv.79 with the Oblivion, and used him to get to Lv.100 lol. I could probably beat him with the Kingdom Key, might try it later if i can be arsed. Best thing to do is when he teleports, press R1 a few times, and u'll lock onto him before he reappears. Therefore, u'll know where he is, and u can move ur arse outta the way. The first time i fought Sephiroth, i was only LV.68, that was how much id levelled up before him. So i went to level up in Hollow Bastion, though u can do it wherever u want, since the enemies are strong everywhere after that. Beat him and Phantom on the same night, a stroke of luck i suppose.

I actually rather enjoyed Kingdom Hearts so I am anticpiating the second game with much hype. Just the fact that it was the first true roleplay game that Disney actually didn't foul on and asked the people that have been doign it since the dinosaurs (Square/Enix) they did a very good job on it. True the story does conflict if you are a diehard on all of the stories that are tied up on it, but it also does well smearing good old shinyness to it and getting rid of the forgivable oopses along the way.

Kingdom Hearts was a great game. Despite me first of all sturggling with the concept that it had disney characters in it. Once I started playing the game it was awesome though. I've got my order in and as soon as it's released it gets shipped of to me :) Happy Days

Got the Jap version of Kingdom Hearts II. It's freaking awesome! Past the fact I can't understand a word anyone is saying (which, let me tell you, makes objectives a lot more difficult) so far it's a lot better than the first.
Battles are sweet. As you probably know, there's a couple new battle functions such as the reaction icon and overdrive.
The reaction icon is a lot of fun. While fighting unknowns (the new heartless) tapping triangle (if you're in range) makes you sweep behind them. They'll get confused which leaves them open for easy attack. Then theres a cool battle sequence that's almost completely reaction icon usage. In the first Kingdom Hearts, you're in the dream sequence in the beginning. (right when you choose the sword, shield, or staff) At the end, you fight your shadow. (the one that gets bigger as you get closer to the light) Well as the blond haired kid, you fight this big white armored dude. He ties you up using this white light and comes to attack. If your reflexes are good, you can tap triangle fast enough to do some damage to him. Then he'll throw you into the air really high. On your way down you push triangle (when the reaction icon is up of course) and you kick his attacking hand and hit him in the face again. He then flys under the stain glass pillar. You walk around for a little while wondering where he is, but he jumps back up. He then starts shooting electric pulses at you, but you use your reaction icons to dodge them while working your way up to his face. When you get close you start romping on it untill he dies.
Overdrive is a lot more fun however. Your overdrive meter slowly goes up when you're in battle. You don't have to hit anyone or get hit, it just flows slowly up till it gets to 3 which is the max. Right now, the only one I have is the one where I meld with Goofy. I join with him and get a new spiffy looking red outfit. I can run twice as fast, deal twice the amount of damge, (about) and my areial attacks are practically endless. I can tap circle (the attack button) for what seems like an unlimited amount of times and stay in the air. Also, with each areial swipe, the range becomes greater. This is a ton of fun to take out tons of enemies.
I don't want to ruin any of the story for you guys, so I'll just say, even in Japanese, it's compelling. As of now, my Kingdom Hearts II days are a little thwarted because there seems to be a glitch in the ISO I downloaded. As soon as I try to fly my gummi ship to (what looks like) Mulan's world, it tries to load and just goes black forever. A huge bummer for me because I just got overdrive and out of that stupid twilight town. (it's not that stupid, but I wanted to play as sora and not that blond hair kid... I don't even know his name cause they say it so fast in their Japanese accent... Sounds like Locsos but I have no idea.) Oh, and yes, dual wielding while in overdrive mode is everything you dreamed it would be...
The graphics while playing aren't really improved, however in the videos, you can tell they did some work. Just the physics of things like extra skin/fat under the chin, as well as hair looks more natural while it bounces and jiggles. Also, the characters don't look as nearly akward when they move their arms to talk, however when they start to run (mostly when they run around corners and what not) it looks a tad unbelievable. Also, that guy in the red outfit with badages all over his face looks like he has a board tied to his back. However, if the first game looked good to you, then this will definitely impress.
If anyone knows where to get an uncorrupted ISO please tell me!
If you have questions you can just ask. I'll be glad to answer.

The biggest thing about the Kingdom Hearts games, is that I think it would actually do some good to play the game between 1 and 2, which is Chain of Memories, and it goes into depth about what the Men in Black suits are really about. I haven't beaten it yet (infact I am embarrased to say that I can't get through Neverland and beat Captain Hook [When you go up against him, the ship is constantly rocking back and forth, and you are sorta dragged along with it, and then he will throw bombs at you that you can't avoid... Ugh...] But I recommend it.)

@TheReturn
Acutally to your post about how it is a kids game and you would rather play Shadow Hearts 3... Shadow Hearts 3 got a lesser rating than KH 1 and probably for KH 2 from PSM (you know those guys that have the best selling Playstation magazine in the planet? yeah those guys... XD) You would be better off sticking it to SH 1 or 2 (2 actually got better ratings, I am rather angry though that I can't find it at any of the local walmarts when it came out grrrr)

Actually these threads seem pretty screwed up as you have people talking about Kingdom Hearts 1 in Kingdom Hearts 2 thread and vise versa!
I give in.

I love the intro scene in Kingdom Hearts 2, but the game itself is mediocre.

Yea, it was pretty short. I would have liked to see a second disc or something.
Sephiroth was harder. Recommended level for Sephiroth is 80. In the first it was 70. That should give you some idea...
