You unzipped them, right? SNES Roms should have a .smc file extension. Snes 9x wasn't as compatilbe with as many games as ZSNES. Maybe it's simply a compatibility issue. Make sure they're all in the same folder. I copied and pasted them individually into Nero, rather than burning the ROMS folder to disc.

do the individual files have to be zipped, or can they all be in a folder that gets zipped?

Dunno I unzipped them and they seemed to work okay. Then again, a couple of the ROMS I loaded seemed buggy, maybe that's why. You can run zipped ROM files fine with a SNES emu on PC, so that makes sense. Anyway I don't want to confuse anybody reading this, so just do as Hursty instructs and leave the ROMS zipped.

Thanks for all the info. i did finally get some games to work. my problem was i had some iffy roms, i guess. in an attempt to not download every single game individually, i downloaded a whole set... torrent style, and they only seem to like to open with the emulator they were packaged with, which odly enough was snes9x.

thanks for all the input!
