Ireland said it best. Sounds like you just need to tweak cloneDVD2. Most people don't have any problems with AnyDVD. I like it simple and I use NeroRecode. To each his own. But you own AnyDVD and you'll get the updates for the future movies and grow to love it. Just my 2cents.

I was accused of pimping AnyDVD, once, on this forum. I'm am hesitant about saying anything, now, but this was a year age or so.. It was the best $40.00 dollars I have spent on anything and I still recommend it, I have had (0) zero problems backing up any movie. The only thing it doesn't help you on is scratches, dirty disks and bad presses. And I have some compatibility problems with other programs. I then just turn off AnyDVD. So. use AnyDVD and DVDshrink and you shoulden't have any problems. Geo. Also, it doesn't fix the use of bad media.

I always suggest the free proggy's first...then as a last resort I'll suggest the free trial of AnyDVD. I own AnyDVD and most of the other freewares and use them all, I like to have as many options at my disposal.

I have all the freeware as well as AnyDVD.

I wouldn't trade AnyDVD for anything.

Why use (what was it 4 steps hahahahaha) when you can just shrink and burn. Total of about 45 min total, if you do all the features. (about 20-25 min just movie)

I will definately Pimp AnyDVD to anyone who will listen.

psl2file wizard should be the last/only resort because it does the job w/ out updates! makes you wonder why any dvd needs all those updates?????

psl2 wizard w/ dvdd will not need updates until they come out w/ better than arccos or anything currently being used!

but to each there own!

pimp away, those that don't have the knowledge never will, w/ you @ the wheel! any dvd is now using software that has been freely available in the community for around 10 month's to fix there shotty output! as shrink is not even repairing there faulty rips

LOL... I agree with you L8ter, but it's true indeed, sad but true.

Believe it or not, I have never used AnyDVD (yeah, I know it's a great program), but I've never ran into any dvds/movies that I can not rip and backup regardless if it's encrypted with RipGuard or ARccOS. All I used is freewares/tools like: (**Method 1**) DVDFAB Decrytper + VobBlanker or (**Method 2**) PgcEdit + PSL plugins + DVD Decrypter and the job is done flawlessly.

Again, no AnyDVD, no DVD43, no black screens, no glitches, no chapters jumping, no updatings, etc. Oopss... I guess DVDFAB Decrypter is the only free tool that I need to update if I want to, LOL.

If you have problems with AnyDVD on your system, you should enable the "Safe Mode" in AnyDVD program settings.

Maybe its just me, but i think AnyDVD is a great program. Im insane too, so thats from one nut to another, brother.. :) see im laughing at my own jokes, and no one else even gets them most of the time.. come to think of it i dont get them either most of the time..

I paid my 40 bucks a while back, and ive regretted spending 40 bucks on a lot of things, but AnyDVD aint one of them. But, dont listen to me, im crazy.

I like using/trying the free methods also, and agree 100% with anyone who wants to use the free only way of ripping for whatever reason.

AnyDVD updates quickly, works 100% of the time for me, has excellent customer response, free updates for life,, i cant ask for more from a program. Yeah, it would be nice if it was free, but i bet it wouldnt be as good as it is now. Call me a pimp if you want, but im just trying to point out a good program, and i dont work for them either. Ppl defend this program because it works, and is an excellent program. I works so well, i sometimes forget it is even there. Updates are available to handle the latest anti-copy trick before i can even buy the DVD that has a new trick here. Pop in the movie everyone is on AD complaining they cant copy it, and bam, out comes a perfect copy.. No problems whatsoever. I could keep this information a secret and join in the crowd saying it stinks, but id be lying to you.

Yup, each to their own.

And as for the ones who don't have the knowledge never will comment!!!!

Well I've been doing this since before DVD burners were an affordable additon to a computer. You use to have to put a DVD on to 2 CD's. I have done well over 350 burns, and AnyDVD is the best and easiest user friendly program out there for the purpose of decrypting DVD's. I have ALL the freeware and using it only shows why it is free. I have nothing against those who want to spend the time on backing up DVD's, I for one have better things to do than to run my DVD files through 3 or 4 processes just to get a copy.

Apparently most of the problems that have come up recently about AnyDVD are coming from cracked versions, that it now appears are being detected openly by the program.

Keep up the good work Slysoft.

OK. I setup AnyDVD vs. 5.9.4.1 again. Using CloneDVD2, it will make a disc that plays OK in a regular A/V DVD player. However, when you try to look at the disc with Windows Media or PowerDVD, both programs will keep telling you to insert a disc when the disc is in fact there.

I'm going back to DVDfab and DVDShrink. It's a longer process, but it produces discs that play anywhere.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with AnyDVD. As for me I have been using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 for a very long time now without any problems. In my opinion, AnyDVD currently is the best software in its category for it's ease of use and frequent updates =)

And I would like to point out, that the last couple of revisions of AnyDVD now employs a ripper feature that fixes structure problems on the fly, as the files are ripped to your hard disk, to the place of your choosing. This method takes the place of the old drag and drop method using windows explorer, but examines, and repairs the entire disk. It has made it possible to backup some titles that have been troublesome. Although a bit slower than processing initially with CloneDVD2, Shrink, Recode etc., it examines the entire file set and fixes all errors as the files are ripped to the hard drive.
This feature is accessed by right clicking the fox in the task tray and clicking Rip video dvd to hard disk.

Saying using Any DVD is easy to use, is an understatement.

All you have to do is install it on your PC & forget about it.

Unless Slysoft sends you a message saying there's a new version, then you have to re-install it.

Any DVD is AWESOME, nothing could be easier to use.

Works great w/ Clone DVD & Recode.

Money well spent.
