yeah i hear ya, i get that alot too. they need to read the rules, some people must just not give a crap if we get shut down or not! plus they dont understand that we had to learn it for ourselves at some point, people are just to lazy nowadays.

no it's not quite like that. here we discuss all kinds of stuff but you really have to watch what you say becuase you never know who's reading it. if we discussed such things as getting movies and music and software, etc, and the wrong person read it, the site could be shut down and nobody wants that. take backing up games for example, the forums are huge for xbox and PS2, but the discussions are taken as if the person is seeking knowledge of backing ups games that they own. i'm sure there are some bad apples that just go rent them and copy them, but if they dont state that, we have to assume they own the game, so we try to help them with whatever issue. what people read here, and do with that knowledge is out of our control obviously, but if they state something that even comes close to looking like it could be viewed as piracy, the thread is killed and the person is usually banned. this keeps the site up without hassle from "the man", and no one here would intentionally help a person pirate anything becuase it's flat out wrong! i used to pirate all kinds of stuff till one day it hit me, it's not just the comapny that made the game, music, or movie, etc, that gets hurt. it's the warehouse guy that moves it around, the retailer that sells it, all the way to the truck driver that delivers it. piracy hurts alot more than the big corporate giants like sony and such, the little guys are effected to when they dont sell many games or whatever because people are pirating them. the developer work hard to come up with all this cool stuff, they deserve support. ok ok ok i'm getting off the soap box now :)

very well said mate expect the first few lines, if you read them again it looks like what you are saying is we dont discuss piracy related issues due to fear of getting caught when really we dont because we dont take part in it, and dont believe in it!

well i cant really say. i honestly cant stand when i hear an old song come on then it turns out to be some rapper just rapping to the beat of old stuff and calling it his own. it's kinda like they are cheating. i know there's only so many beats to come up with and sometimes songs will have the same sounds as other songs already done, but when they just play someone elses stuff and rap to it, i just dont care for it. i dont really think it's wrong as long as they do it right legally, i just personally dont care for it.

ooooohhhh yeah i think thats a wonderful thing, i do it alot. it's retarded to go drop 20 bucks on something that you've only heard 1 song from on the radio and the rest of the cd turns out to suck. i think any good artist would welcome their fans being able to test drive the music before they go drop their hard earned bucks on it. if i download something and i like it, i go right out and buy it to keep the whole supply/demand cycle rolling, but if i dont like it, i can delete it and i dont waste my money, no harm done.

hey the best place i've been to trade music and movies is winmx it's got all the first rate stuff. It takes a little longer to figure out how to use it but once you do you have more control than at kazaa.

DONT use IRC or ehatever it is just use DC++. easy to download of and also doesn't come with all that shitty code on the screen that ya get with IRC

akuma03, I think you will loose the downloads ye! Many people have just draged the dat files into the shared folfer for kazaa lite but it didnt work!
