I did exactly what you said. Except it was burnt by DVD Decrypter at 1x and I filled in the Producer Name as "PLAYSTATION" and not "PLAYSTASTION" ;)
Perhaps, it's the burn program. How did you use Nero? Did you just choose to burn an image and then chose the rebuild iso?

btw, how big was your new iso file?

hmm.., never use nero, half of my games are slow (long loading time)or they don't start because I used NERO.

Use DVDecrypter or my favorite DVDClone

the NTSC version of this game has been released, but it also needs to be rebuilt in order to work.

btw, you wont be able to play online since when you enter the network configuration mode, the "Invalid PS2 Disc" message appears

guys, i burn using Nero ALL the time and it works perfectly ALL the time. I burn using TY DVD-R 8X discs. I open the iso image in Nero, set it to 4x(half my medias speed) and just clicked burn. If you follow the step correctly without creating your own steps, you will have a flawlessly working disc...now can somebody PM me with the file that i use to get the NTSC version of the game(you know wat im talking about with lots of seeds)

1:Extract files off of image using isobuster into new folder.
2:Drag files from new folder into CD_DVD-ROM Generator in exact same order as the file structure shows in isobuster.
3:In volume column in Generator, type in Disc Name: SLES-54061, Producer Name: PLAYSTATION, Liscence area: the area the disc image is from.
4:File>export .iml File
5:gnie's_dvd4-iml2iso.exe baby!! then burn!!!

I don't 'understand' the first step. When I open the iso in Isobuster, I see this:

http://img273.imageshack.us/img273/9797/asdasdasdas8zw.jpg

Both under 'ISO' and 'UDF' will show me exactly same files in the same order but with different sizes. Which files do I need to select and extract? I did it with the files under 'iso'.

Also which version of dvd4-iml2iso did you use? I used v4.01.

Oh and also I opened my rebuilt iso again with Isobuster and was comparing it to the original one.
There was no 'UDF' anymore... only 'ISO'. I think that's why SM 3.6 don't recognize it as a valid ps2 disc.

yep I did that. I just selected all the files immediately after I opened the iso in Isobuster. But it didn't work for me :(
The size of all the extracted files is 2.12 GB btw...
I'm gonna try to rebuild it with Apache and then burn it with DVD decrypter because DVD decrypter always worked for me. I think the error nothing has to do with the burning program but with the rebuilding process.

I opened the iso file with isobuster dragged all the files into a new folder i made, then opened nero burning rom and changed the drop down list from CD to DVD then i clicked on DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO)and then clicked on New, then dragged the files into nero burning rom one at a time in the order there shown in isobuster, then i burned it at 4x to a verbatim dvd-r and it works fine with SM 2

WES10s better :)

edit: my image was also 2.12GB after rebuilding it

I got the PAL version to work heres what I did. First i followed the method recommended by jsap32 at http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/265223 , but i did it for the PAL version before burning i then followed this method to convert to NTSC.
1)Download adr patcher:
http://img167.exs.cx/img167/2601/adrpatcher059ap.jpg
Just save the link to your hard drive. Then, right click on it and select Open With-->Choose Program-->Winrar Archiver. Then click extract to and extract the files to your hard drive.

2)Run adr_patcher.exe

3)Click browse and select the iso file of the game

4)Select .PS2 PAL -> NTSC PATCH ROUTINE (NO Y POS)

5)Select Begin Search.

6)The program will search for locations to patch the game. When it finishes, patch the file.

7)Burn the patched .iso file

from nrk4594. This method work for me the only proble was the screen was offset. I also did not burn the iso i used hdadvance and loaded it in mode 3 using winhip.

there haves to be a way that we can set it to NTSC with the game itself. past PAL FIFA games let you do that. i wanna play my game being 100% satisfied, and online too.

italy all the way
