Well your 1st log for the same movie has this - DVD-Video files reallocation completed
And your last 2 logs for this movie have this - DVD-Video files compliance test failed & Failed to realloc DVD video files
So something has happened to the files between the 1st log and the last logs.
Besides trying IFOEdit - did anything else change (pc wise)?
What's the size of the video_ts folder for this movie now?

I won't buy one :)
My thinking on your error was more along the lines that something was up with the files. Wasn't the case here.
Glad that swapping the drive worked!

No and I got the idea because i opened Nero express and could not even burn a cd, so then i just kinda figured that something was up with the drive. What is a good drive? I might get a new one by warranty so i'll have two but we'll just have to see.

Good drives well look at LiteOn, BenQ and Plextor. Plextor are more $ but they are said to be the best. That will be my next one :)
Having two or more drives is better too :)

I got a cd/rw on the bottom and dvd/rw on top but and I'm not quite sure why the computer acts as if the cd/rw is not there anymore. I have heard Plextor is good. Okay thank you for all the help.

Not a problem!
Looking at your log it only shows the dvd drive as master on the secondary ide channel. Check and make sure it's properly connected to the ide cable and power. Your jumper pins on the back of the
drive(s) should be set to how the drives are connected on the ide cable (master to master i.e)
In 'my computer' do you see it listed as a drive?

The ide is connected right and i think that it may be the pins on the back should they both be set at master? if i go into the device manager in prperties in my computer it shows under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers a primary and a secondary IDE channel. Am I lookin at this right? I mean is that what I should be seeing? Under DVD/CD Rom Drives it only lists the dvd burner 16x8 Dual. So the pins on the back must be wrong?

One set of pins needs to be set to master and one needs to be to slave - depending on where they are connected on the ide cable. Both shouldn't be set to master.
The master is the end connector (set the jumpers on this drive to master) and the slave is the middle connector (set jumpers to slave).

Yes you would see a primary and secondary ide controller. Your hard drive is on the primary and your dvd and/or cd writers would be on the secondary. You cd drive should also be listed dvd/cd rom drives.

okay thanks. My top drive the end of the ide is the dvd writer and the other is the cd/rw, but the cd/rw is not listed under the dvd rom cd/rw drives. Its like it has completely lost the cd/rw.

I have no problem now with the new burner all is working fine but i am a little skeptical of emprex products since i have wrote them and they seem to not back their products up with a warranty.

Glad to hear the new drive is working out for you. Emprex is not one
I would recommend - all drives are not created equal :)
Just remember to keep the firmware up to date on the new one and use quality media.
Happy Burning!
