I just did what this dude said to do, worked and I've pushed the limits on the split time to 2 hours. It takes forever for the clip to load, but if you settle in, it'll come up.

So, you put in 7200 as the value for the split time? I guess since it's in seconds that's what it would be for 2 hours. I went ahead and tried it and it just says to put the file into sansa video converter. Am I supposed to wait with that message on the screen until it plays?

no, the file that gets edited get initialized each time the sansa converter starts. So....make the edits, reboot or stop and restart the sansa converter...notice that the converter initializes each time the device is connected, that should seal the deal.

Has anyone found a jogging arm strap for this device. I haven't found anything yet.

well,i set the split time value to 7200, then i closed out the document. then i opened sansa media converter, and plugged in my sansa. it recognized it was plugged in, and just to be sure, i unplugged and replugged my sansa back in, once again, it recognized my sansa was there. i put in a 30 minute video and converted. after i unplugged my sansa again it restarted. i went to play my video and it didn't work. am i doing something wrong?

I just bought an e250 like 3 days ago and was trying to put a movie on it. I ripped the VOB with dvd decryptor, but when I convert it and put it on my sansa, it skips scenes and the voice stays on the scene it skips. I was wondering if there was a way to fix that?

I have been trying to figure out this "editing video segment time" thing. Its not working to our benefit. I just want to clarify... do we make a backup of the .apr file, edit the original, unplug the sansa, plug it back in, convert it, and when it is done converting, unplug it and check to see if it is all one file? I keep seeing 3 files for a half hour vid. I have edited all the fields shown by sracer on the previous page, but it hasn't worked for me. Any suggestions?

I think you are doing it right. now the video won't play at all is an issue that I haven't come across. Make sure you don't change anything else in the file. Edit only the two areas described by the first dood.

check and see if that worlds. for some reason I think there might need to be ahhhh! I know. Switch the sansa over to USB mode open the ram on the sansa, delete all the folders that pop up on the file manager. this forces the sansa to re-init the next time you connect. the re-init process places the new files onto the device. Try that!

Ok, i have gotten a dvd to play on my sansa e250, but first of all, it will only play in some other laguage, and the beginning audio is not in line with the video. I used DVD Decrypter, then just put it strait into the sansa, anyone know how to fix it?? oh, and i am not that technical, so i am trying my best to understand all the previous ideas.

I have the e250. I recently moved and have lost the original disc with the media converter software.
Can someone send a copy to me? I've been trying to get it from SanDisk but so far no luck. Kinda makes me wish I'd bought the Ipod since they let you download the software from their site.

Or if there is a way to convert and upload video without media converter.
I have RiverPast software that will convert to MOV format what else do I need to do?
thanks

Ok, I have tried everything listed on these boards, but cant seem to get a longer video to play on my e270. I have got one of my videos (Meet the Fockers) from dvd into Mpeg form and onto my computer. I changed the sansa media converter settings so it will break the video every 2 hours, and I also changed the other settings listed on the first page. I convert the video, and it puts it into .mov, without splitting the movie. Great. However, when I put it onto my e270 and try and play it it says Please used Sansa Media Converter to convert this file.

What am I doing wrong!? I have tried re-setting the sansa database, putting it into recovery mode, but cant seem to get the video to play.

If someone could please, please, give exact, step by step instructions on how to get this video to play, I would greatly appreciate it as well as the other 100 people on this board who are having the same problem as me.

Where can I find the latest firmware without using the auto-updater?
In the sandisk.com I can only find the URL of the updater utility..

Texasjrk - You have to select a different sound track, I usually test to find the right one. AC3 works best, there is a free codec for it on the web...just look for it in google.
