It seems to have paled in comparison to WoW and besides which, it's an MMORPG - probably with absolutely no story! FF without a story is like a Stud Farm without Male horses!! Went i think of FF i don;t want an online experience dude. I was just totally put off by it, you pick a race and all that which means your character wont have a shred of story behind him/her/it. Can;t wait for FFXII man lol...

Despite not knowing half of the terms used in that post aka "bangers" and "tyres", i feel ur pain. U know ur gonna start some conflict with the ranking of systems, dont ya?? BTW, finally played 360 today (Kameo), now i know what the hype is about, its a great system!!!

Yeah it's great! By the way they weren't listed in any preferential order, just by company (MS, Nintendo then Sony, then my car repairs lol). Tyres are the rubber that go around your wheels my friend haha! What do you call over there? Bangers is a term used in Australia to describe a burnout, 'dropped some bangers and my tyres are stuffed' lol

I know that everybody says the Xbox 360 is a great system, and I don't disagree. I was blown away when I played Project Gotham 3 on it. BUT, Timmy, I think there's something you should take into consideration before buying your Xbox 360: reliability. So far, the Xbox 360 has a very bad reputation of hardware crapping out on you, overheating, scratching discs, and the list goes on. This is what makes me not want to buy it in the first place. I don't want a system that will cause me problems. Plus, I'm crowded with consoles. Check my sig to see what I mean. I have FOUR consoles, two of which I don't play with.
One more thing, take this discussion over to the Xbox 360 forum, because this is the PlayStation 2 forum.
My console collection: Version 14A PlayStation 2(chipped), Version 7 PlayStation 2, PlayStation(both models), Wii, Gamecube, N64, Super NES(original from US and Japan and Mini), NES(front and top loader)Model 1 & 2 Genesis, Sega CD, Sega 32X, Atari 2600, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Sega Master System(Model 1 and 2), Atari Flashback 1 & 2, FC Twin(2 in 1 NES/Super NES clone), GN Twin(2 in 1 NES/Genesis clone), Atari 7800, Intellivision II, TurboGrafx 16, GameBoy Color

Nah mate it started off as a PS2 discussion, it just got sidetracked because me and SvtStang have the attention span of bees... As for the 360, I'm not too concerned about that - I;m in Australia we get everything last and it usually has all the known problems rectified. As for being overflowed with sytems, I own:
1. Sega Master System
2. Sega Megadrive
3. Super Nintendo
4. Gamecube
5. Gameboy Pocket
6. Gameboy Advance
7. Playstation
8. Playstation 2
9. Xbox
and plan to own all three current gen consoles...

9?!?! Jeez! But, exclude the portable ones. That makes 7 consoles.
And, Timmy, I think that no matter where you are, there will always be an Xbox 360 that has problems, and I think the reliability issuses are still at large all over the globe.

Yeah maybe so. I guess I'm willing to take the risk. If you treat your console with care then it should be fine. Overheating usually happens because half the retards who buy the damn console have it on a nice plush pile carpet. Being in Australia doesn't alleviate me of all risk, but the degree of risk is smaller regarding hardware issues, as most know problems are rectified soon after releases of the console in the States and Japan. As for PS3 though, it is a very close worldwide release, and so could prove to be something of a gamble...

I don't know maybe, but in very small quantities. I just never sell consoles and never get sick of them. I've been on a retro kick lately. I mean honestly who would ever sell a console bought for 300 bucks (MegaDrive) for 10 bucks to some F$%^$%%&^%s at EB or GameTraders lol! Makes me mad mate, such shameless profit seeking! And who the hell could ever get sick of platformers like Alex Kidd? Alex Kidd on Master system (the one that was built in) was way more enjoyable than Mario I think!

Except... SONIC. Let the fanboy mayhem begin lol. Nah kidding! (Nephillims blood pressure may just have risen lol) Did you grow up on Nintendo SvtStang? Because I grew up on Sega and Sonic games, to me there was nothing and still remains nothing better than Sonic! Have a soft spot for him, and lets hope his next gen title is a return to form for the little fella. I don't know about you, and i have never played Mario 64 in any depth, but Sunshine just didn't really get me going. It was more like a series of mini games than any decent action. I mean i got really tired of chasing that little Mario clone around! and you really couldn't lose to him. It was just kind of pointless to me sorry man but I dunno. I was really dissapointed with that game. A Large and seamless world would have been better than that Hub style mess... Starfox Adventures on GCN was way better than Sunshine. The best parts in Sunshine was those tidbits where you were without your FLUDD device. They were hard and infuriating but addictive.

Ya, I grew up on Nintendo. Mario Bros 3 is to this day my favorite game ever, i can play it for hours on end and not get bored. Nintendo also graced me with Final Fantasy 2 and 3; I owe Nintendo for that. Mario 64 was golden when it was released, but in my opinion didnt stand the test of time. I cant go back and get into it, like you said, the hub interface just isnt all that appealing. Sunshine was a mess also in my oinion, played it for maybe an hour before I couldnt stand it anymore. Sonic never appealed to me until I was like 15, but since then I have mastered every release, except that piece of sh!t that was released on Dreamcast. Its sad that Sega bottomed up, I can only imagaine what would have been made of the Sonic series if Sega had its own console and didnt have to distribute their games to other consoles.

Have you seen the screens for the new game? They're trying to make it like the old ones, with raw speed and mayhem. Just in case you haven't, here are some screens!

I'm excited man! By the way when you're done, go to Gamepros homepage and check out their new feature article the "11 most groundbreaking game controllers." An interesting read.
