Yes, I saved fix.reg file in desktop and by selecting All files *.*

Try to replace "REGEDIT4" with "Windows Registry Editor version 5.00" and try again. Also make sure that there´s one empty line between Windows Registry Editor version 5.00 and [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]

It says,
cannot import c:\documents and settings...fix.reg:Not all data was succesfully written to the registry. some keys are open by the system or other processes.

Well, then there's only one option. Open regedit and go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main-key
Create subkey Start Page and give it a value named http://www.google.com.au.
Repeat same thing with this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

Ok, then I guess that you have only two options. Use system restore to revert back to time when you had no home page problem or do repair installation of windows. Also make sure that you have priviledges to that key in regedit (edit -> priviledges).
