When it goes back to the system menu you go to GAMES-->Memory Stick and select MPH Game Loader.

If that doesn't work, try change this:
2.xx -> 2.00
to
ISO ANYUMD

SOCOM works untouched with DevHook. That is, you have to use the original ISO with no changes to the PRXs and EBOOT.BIN.

yeah for me im a socom online fanatic, so you use that devhook 41c that has the wifi fix, and set it to umd disk, firmware of umd 2.0+ firmware 2.5 and use run xmb, that will reboot your psp to 2.5 and then you can play and you just take out the battery and you will be at 1.5 again.

Just use the latest DevHook package (0.42a), 0.42c is old! You also have to set the clock-speed to 333Mhz.

So, this should work, like, fine with Monster Hunter, right? All I need to do is download the 2.6 firmware and use that with DevHook without patching anything, right?
If not, please tell me how to make Monster Hunter work.

You dont need firmware 2.6 anymore!
Not with devHook 0.44 which has 2.71 support!
Download the full pack from http://www.ps2nfo.com

Yeah it should work w/o patching.

What settings are you using?
You might have to fix it with UMDGen.

Try messing around with the pre-load addresses.

If that doesn't work, check my guide to fix it:

"If you can't get 2.71 working with 0.44 (your PSP won't reboot into 2.71, it only switches off) then on the DevHook menu go to OTHER and change the PRELOAD ADDR to 89000000 and it should work then.Note: Make SURE to delete dh/271/flash1/registry/init.dat if there is one... if not, then you can simply ignore this note.",thats what www.ps2nfo.com says.

Well, if you didn't read my last post, it says that the address is 8900000. I'm getting sick of failing at this.

Well did you try all the other pre-load addresses?
Like I said before, you may have to mess around w/ the pre-load addresses to get it working.

I VE GOT IT!!!!!!
Change the clock speed to 222. DevHook can't load at 333MHz

does method 1 of your guide work on megaman maverick hunter ? and where does devhook fit into that process even ?

i noticed when id try to decrypt the prx files it wouldnt list the eboot.bin.. and when i put them back in the iso do i use umdgen to do that ? after decrypting the files it always renamed a few of them to all caps.. and when i put them back in the game it wouldnt override and few and thered be three extra files in the module folder >< im confused...

any help greatly appreciated :)
