UM ok don't want to break the bad news to you when you just got it to work but you know HDD can only be used to play PS2 games and NOT PS1 right?

ahha tahts right, but i think some laoder cand do it. i dont remember which one. usb extreme i think it is, then again, u have an internal one.

@dan168: Ahhh I didn't know that : / But really, there aren't ANY Playstation one games that load that slow for me anyway, since most of them have such old graphics that it's not that hardware intensive.

Mostly what I was going to copy to harddisk was: Magna Carta: Tears of Blood, Suikoden 4 + 5, maybe Star Ocean 3...and some other PS2 stuff anyway, but thanks for the heads up and the congrats. :P

No worries :) It's a bit unfortunate due to hardware constraint PS1 games isn't playable through the HDD, I had hoped to not use my laser at all and just play everything with the HDD, but there are some games that just don't work with HDD (e.g. Kingdom Hearst 2) and then there's the PS1 games... oh well, PS1 games are being played on my laptop now :)

Hmm, so do you know SPECIFICALLY why PS1 games can't be played? Or it just a common mystery?

I'll skip the details but basically the problem is that the same piece of hardware is used for PS1 and HDD, so you can only use one or another, but not both at the same time

Ooooh, well, at least I'll be using the laser less, get faster load time, etc.

BTW Sukioden III for PS2 worked PERFECT! I used DVD Decrypter (hard to find cause their creator got wet feet and told everyone to get rid of it) at half the speed of my DVDR (2x) and it worked perfectly.
