that doesnt matter people say the one with the gun is the patched version but mine has the gun and its unpatched. you more then likely have the unpatched version. see what the update icon says in the XMB.

2.0 = unpatched
2.6 = patched

hey there, i borrowed GTA LCS from my friend and unfortunately he only gave me the UMD. I'm not sure wheter I should downgrade my 2.6 down to 1.5, but here are the details of the UMD.

-UMD has a brown background, with a gun.
-ULUS 10041
-UPDL 010050
On the Back of the UMD disk
-UPDL-010050A1 2 E0A

-UPDL-010050B1 2

That's about it, I dont want anyone to stress over it, because im gonna check with my friend so he can give me the case. But while reading other forums, on the back of a UMD of GTA a UPDL-010050A1 2 is supposedly a patched version I'm not sure, but any help would be great. And should i start downgrading or wait for more info from the case?

yeah shade777 I heard that the 010050A1 2 is in fact a patched version. Renting it from a video store is your best bet! And you can give back your friends UMD.

But don't count on it some people swap UMDs because they're selfish.
Yeah, consider that.

thanks guys i decided to upgrade to 2.71 and downgrade from there. it worked like a charm. I think i would recommend this method as you don't need a GTA unpatched.
