Hey Zyoren,
I've read briefly of on the guides to using roms with the pass me cards and flash card 3 for the ds lite. Sorry guys, I'm a newbie, but I just got a ds lite and need some guidance and insight. But that website that you posted www.divineo...... its a good site to get the cards from? And I've heard everyone saying with the m3 lite and pass card 3, there's no programming needed except you have to get the latest firmware onto to pass card 3. Is there a step by step procedure on how to do this and can I simply download the nds roms from any website and drop them onto the pass card w/ the microSD card onto it (but I read the game has to flashed or something? first) Maybe not? But once the .nds file is on the card, is that all? Please I'm a newbie but willing to learn. Thanks guys.

divineo was a great site for me to get from...
I always thought the firmware was upgrading the m3, not the passcard 3 tho?

yeah, upgrading only takes place on the M3. Passcard doesn't need any type of upgrades.. theres no way to write to it anyway :)

Newbie question here... Sorry.
If I get M3 and Passcard. Will I really need to download a program to play games? Does M3 come with the software (I HAVE read through the forum... I guess I'm just not getting it).
So basically without downloading a backup of a game I currently own. Can I make a backup OF a game I currently own just by putting it in the DS lite and Using M3 to make the backup? How would I get the ROM off of the Cartridge?
Thanks

The M3 will come with software on a CD, however the software is constantly being updated to inlcude patches for new games and add new features.
You should always keep botht he M3 gamemanager anf firmware up-to-date for all games to work.

There is a dumper file located online that you can use to backup your own games. You can get it from dualscene.net I beleive.. or at least you can get the tutorial on how to use it there

Does the M3 Lite work on a regular DS? Would it work if I cut off that hanging piece of plastic that pervents it from going in?
Anyone have any guides on using an M3 lite with the M3 Simply?
Thanks,

The M3 Lite does work with the original DS, but I wouldn't recommend cutting the sticking out bit and shoving it in, rather you should buy a GBA size case for it and swap the cicuit over.
Quote: Anyone have any guides on using an M3 lite with the M3 Simply?
Plug in the M3 DS Simply
Plug in the M3 Lite
Turn on the System - It automatically lods the 3 DS Simply
Choose the third icon (Boot slot-2 device) - The M3 Lite now loads.

Where can I get one of these DS regular sized carts?
How do you load the software and games unto the Lite? I tried it and got a blank screen when I tried to boot slot 2.
Thanks,

GBA Cases are available here
The M3 Lite dosn't need any software on it for the menu to load, therefore it should not blank screen you. Are you sure the M3 Lite is connected properly?

Thanks. I'll look into purchasing a replacement case. Also I did cut off the side and the cartridge does go in, maybe I definately need the other case.
All I need to do is copy the games over to SD card? Do I need to install any software? Do I need the latest firm ware updates?
Thanks again,
P.S. How do you get SNES running on this?

It would be benefit you to update both the M3 Lite and M3 Simply to the latest firmwares.
The M3 Lite requires games to be patched before they will work, you copy the games from your computer to the SD card using the M3 Gamemanager, this patches the games as it copies them to the card.

In theory it should work by doing that, but the problem is that GBA port on the original DS is deeper than the DS Lite, so you have to push it further in than you are probably doing at the moment, and then there's the problem of getting it back out.
EDIT:
For SNES games you will have to research what the latest emulator is, I don't do emulation on my DS so cannot help you there.
