Alright you guys remember how everytime I loaded FFVII: DoC (through Swap magic or the CD Loader method) I'd end up at the menu interface (With my two Memory Cards + the DVD icon)

Well... yesterday Zoneloader worked fine. Now everytime I try to boot it up it goes back to that menu bit.

And I just tried to load up FFXII (Jpn version) WHICH HAD ALWAYS WORKED and the same thing happened! the PS2 laser seems to be the problem to all this!

So now I need to fix it. ¬¬

[update]

Fixes the lense, PS2 reads stuff probably better than it used to.

Anyway my game still wont work!! >: (
FXII, Zoneloader etc work again. But still this game wont budge.

First I tried Zoneloader and got this error message "Fatal Error! Code: -7" (can anyone direct me to the error code definitions or something? I tried zoneloader.com but all it is is ps2ownz.com - and there isnt no thread explaining the error messages for Zoneloader)

CD Loader just... dont work. I get a blank (black) screen or probably diverted back to the PS2 menu bit with my memory card + DVD icon. same goes with the regular Swap Magic method >_>

ace1uk or someone else can you recommend me good dvd discs. Even though Verbatim DVD-R is good enough (except for this damned game)

(for once nobody on Afterdawn has a definite solution)

i tried with DVD Loader now properly and still doesn't work!!

I burn all my other stuff just fine (DVD Loader, HD Loader, CD Loader, and I burned another game for testing) all these worked (note I did all that *after* I was burning my FFVII: Doc) yet the FFVII DoC game dont work! >:(

These were all done using Verbatim DVD-R 8x. My source is good. downloaded 2 different torrents just to be sure; and other people can get it to work but I cant. Is it possible that somehow, SOME FREAKIN HOW, Final Fantasy VII: DoC just doesnt like Verbatim DVDs? and it has to be disc. Even though it burns fine (ive checked it through my computer, Disc contents are the same as the image file) that game + Verbatim DVD-R + swap magic + PS2 = failure. it must be the disc. but if I can try it with another DVD it may work. Possible?

Dont double post or bump, unless you want to come to the attention of the forum mods. Its against forum rules. Give people a chance to reply!

Use RITEK G05 8x DVD-R. I swear by them. 2000 games burnt with 100% success rate.

Always 1st with 100% working PS2 Online Game DNA$ IDs!!
