NO I NEVER GOT ANY HELP WITH THAT I THINK THE NCK NUMBER HAS TO BE GIVEN BY THE SERVICE PROVIDER, AND THEY WONT DO THAT SOOO I DONT KNOW SORRY I COULDNT BE MORE OF A HELP, ILL LET U KNOW IF I EVER GET ANYTHING.

I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH SONY ERIKSSON. CINGULAR GAVE ME MY CODE AND I ACCESSED THE MENU BY
1)LEFT ** LEFT : LEFT IS THE LEFT SIDE OF CIRCULAR KEYPAD
dO THIS FAST BEFORE CAMERA COMES ON. YOU WILL COME TO A MENU THAT LOOKS LIKE THIS:
PERSONALIZE
NETWORK
NETWORK SUBSET
SP
CORPORATE
CHOOSE NETWORK AND YOU SHOULD SEE NIC WHICH IS WHERE YOU ENTER THE 16 DIGIT CODE

THATS GOOD AND ALL BUT WE ARE STILL LOOK FOR THE SPCK/NCK NUMBER SO IT CAN BE UNLOCKED IF ANYBODY KNOWS IT OR KNOWS HOW TO GET IT THATD BE GREAT AND EMAIL ME [b][i][color=red]***email removed***[/color][/i][/b]

This is the nic number that worked for me that I got from Cingular/AT&T: 6976693877165873
I have no clue if this works for all w300i phones or it's customer specific.

No I dont think that works for otheres, just that service provider but thats great, thanks, people that have that provider will appreciate ur post, thanks again

Just wanted to add I went to a friends today and put a chip in my phone from Telia in Sweden and it worked fine. When I tried to dial my home it wanted me to use country code etc as it recognized it as a call from Sweden.

I have a Sony Ericcson W300i that I would like to unlock because I have a att sim card which it will not recognize wile it is locked under cingular. I can get to the menu that says
PERSONALIZE
NETWORK
NETWORK SUBSET
SP
CORPORATE
But when I choose NETWORK and enter the code 6976693877165873 it doesn't work. You call it the nic number but on my phone it asks for a NCK number when I click on NETWORK or NSCK number if I click on NETWORK SUBSET. Can anyone help me to unlock this phone without having to send it away. All I want is to have it work with an ATT sim card.

Hi guys,
I just called my provider and they gave me my NCK number, my phone is now unlocked... yet the reason i unlocked it was to set mp3s as ringtones, and i still can't do that!
Whats going on?

You need to flash the phone with XS++ it worked for me

Hey, me and my nephew just both got two brand new sony ericsson w300i from Chetumal (a small town in Mexico) in the Yucatan peninsula (where the hurricane, dean, just hit. Well we live in Belize, a small country just south of Chetumal in the Caribbean. Well we have taken the phones to all of the major phone companies here and no one could unlock it. So if anyone out there has the code PLEASE!!!!! give me it. Thanx in advance. :-D

Hello all. I recently purchased the Sony Ericsson W300i in the Dominican Republic on my vacation there this summer. It was activated under the Orange service provider. Now that I am back in the USA, I would like to use that phone with my T-Mobile sim card. I am able to get to the menu where you need the NCK, but since one person has said using this method "can be locked to a service provider FOREVER by doing this," I dared not touch any options there as I would like to use the phone with Orange when I go back.
Is it possible to unlock the phone so one can only switch the sim card, and the phone would work perfectly?
I have the USB cable that came with the phone, so is it possible to do it through a software on the computer? If so does anyone have that software, or where can I download it? Thanks.

well i have cellular one (dobson) and they dont put any unlock codes on their phones. they said you can put ANY sim card in there and it will work... So if you really want to look for cell one phones online or look for the cellone sim cards. you can also take your phone and switch to cell one and they will unlock it so that they can put their sim card to work. i hope this info is helpful. i pulled the "im going to europe" trick on them hehehe!

thanks hyd_1229, code worked fine for my w300i. Now my phone is fully unlocked for any network i desire to use when roaming.
I cant get it to work, when i type in the code none of it comes up on the screen untill i get to ...*12... and then it doesn't let me press okay it just stays on that screen, can you help me with it please!

Hiya Everyone. This is a GREAT Thread...very informational. Just thought i would let yall know that first off. ok here we go. As u prolly guessed, i have a Sony Ericsson W300i and i would love for it to be unlocked so i could use it with any carrier just incase i decide to leave ATT. So here's the info on it because i do believe i need the NCK Code to unlock it from Network 5 (ATT).

Stop messing about and just reached into your pocket for £10, take it to a shop and get it unlocked.
In the UK you need the right software and cable to unlock it.
Save ya time and get it unlocked in a shop! Believe me you'll spend hours trying to find a solution, and get no where. I'm not being negative, just realistic.
And only noobs post their phone's personal info on general forums.
