Thanks but when i try to run the recovery the program tries to run then says cannot find UPDATE.PBP

please help me... im having exactly the same problem u had... however this forum doesnt show how u solved it after u got the message saying cannot find UPDATE.PBP... however the next message I saw was u thanking Frankie for helping you... how did u solve it? please help me im desperate and this is the only posting that ive seen that describes my problem exactly... please help me... thanks...

okay thanks for the answer... but i did that... which EBOOT file are u refering to? the recovery one? i did that but it gives me the error cannot find UPDATE.PBP. what can i do now?

i forgot to mention... i cant get into the xmb screen... as in my psp does not load... just a blank screen... however i can get to the recovery screen
