creaky did close your thread, because you posted the same question 3 TIMES.
that's breaking forum rules, so he closed your thread.
Not to mention your question was answered.
But just to reiterate :
You'll need a windows or linux machine running a server technology like Apache, Samba, windows IIS, or similar, for gaming servers you usually need server software of sorts from the game's manufacturer.
you'll need a proper server for a gaming or website server, a normal pc usually won't do for long, unless you built it yourself and modified it for use as a server.
You'd need intrusion detection, a router, possibly a hardware firewall.
And most importantly, you'll need AT LEAST 1 dedicated 10 mbit connection, which you won't be able to afford, and possibly won't even be able to get, because usually those are NOT supplied to consumers, only to companies.
Now if you have any more questions, open !!1!! new thread, and state your questions there, and stop posting in this one.
It's very rude to hijack a thread this way.
@ elliot : sorry for this long winded bit, just trying to get the guy off your thread.

I play America's Army pretty frequentley. I still suck(I really do). But i the thing i love the most is throwing a Smoke Nade right in front of the sniper on my team. I almost cry laughing because when the nade goes off im already gone and they can't figure out what it is. I also like to get the AR and go do the "Bridge Crossing" map and just shoot through the bridge i get alot of kills that way. Then if im really bored, ill go to a none honor server and wound my teamates and then heal them.

Now, I kinda suck, too. :-P

Same. I go on "defense" and lie up on the right hand side, on the hill, in the trees. Then, I sit there, and wait for my half arsed "team" to get wiped out. Now, when the Attack team come running across, all pumped up, I mow them down with an AR as they come across the bridge. LOL
Heh, maybe we should play some time ;-)

Hopefullly i can come home tommrow. I have my own server(Non-honor) that we can play on. And its not hard to setup a server BTW and its free if its a non-honor.You can also run it on the Same PC. And the Server Manager basically does everything for you.
