that is the hard way to reset bios to default settings, theres usualy a jumper to do it but an easier way is to unplug ur pc and remove the internal battery for a couple minutes.

but i dont know if this would change anything in windows now that i think about it, hopefully these guys that know what there doing can explain why it would or would not help, but i dont see any harm in trying it...just be sure to wear latex gloves or hold on the the case frame to keep urself grounded so you dont short anything out with static .
