Rudinator, the company said they had ripped dvds and done a normal data dvd. I have also (i didnt mention before) slowed down the burning speed to 1x on some discs while others work with 2x regardless of the speed printed on the disc, (some 4x discs burn upto about 90% and a error message is displayed, but burning these 4x discs at 2x or even 1x (mirror platinum discs)yields excellent results. I would think it safe to say that taking anything to the stated max wont be 100% reliable.
