Did you have to update the firmware from LL06 or did you just use the setting in Nero to booktype?

Yeah - I used the Lite-On utility and it reads as a DVD-ROM using the Nero utility. How did you booktype using Nero - by using the CD\DVD tool?

I'm using 6.6.1.15a and it doesn't show. I have read it is suppose to but it doesn't. How do I verify that my Lite-On is capable? It should be - it's the same drive as yours - I'm just wondering what else I would have to change to have this option appear. You like 7 over 6? 7 seems pretty bloated if you install Nero 7 Ultra Edition Enhanced version.

yeah, like i said earlier, when i was using version 7.1.2.0, that option didn't show up either, so i installed a newer version 7.8.5.0 and now i have that option.

dont know why it doesn't show up, maybe because when i installed my earlier version i didn't have a drive capable of Bitsetting, just a thought.

nero7 has worked good for me
edit
also you drive is capable, have you tried the Lite-on utility to booktype, you can check after you burn using dvd identifier if it was booktyped

Hi ;-)
orion6192
You can use CDSpeed.
Goto extra > bitsetting. It should be fairly clear what to do from there.
If not post back for more info.
N.B. Have a blank disc ion drive concerned.
