List has been updated with more games thanks to Hursty and comminup.
I ask that if more games come along, it is best if you type in your newest games only, rather than giving me your entire list of games and I have to search for what is new and what isn't.
Thank you!

Just realized that stuntman ignition needs to be rebuilt with gnie Xpert.
If not, then the game is missing voices and is prone to freezing.

I notice the resient evil 4 game was on the list of backups. Can someone please post some instructions on how to back it up? Can't tell which files are the dummmy files so that I can rebuild it if need to. Ive tried several weeks to backup this games, nothing has worked. I am new at this. I have dvd decryter, Nero, Alcohol, cdvdgen, and ISobuster programs. Also I have the slimps2 V12 with SW3.6.

I took the easy way out and d/led the game because the original copy of mine had a scratch on it. :(
I don't know if there are dummy files on this game. What I'd do first is rip the game using dvd decrypter, and then burn it with dvd decrypter onto a dvd-R or dvd+R. Afterwards, if it still does not play in ps2, you need to rebuild it.

How do I rebuild it? Ive tried severals times but none of them boot. I also d/led it too. When I run a scan on it it detects dummy files. But don't know which ones they are. Can't find any patches or plugins for the xpert rebuild. Im at a loss.

I never rebuilt this game, but if I did, I would use Gnie Xpert 2.0, and go from there. How large is the game? Is it over 4.7 gigs?
I'd have to take a screenshot of the files on my copy with the file sizes so you can compare with yours.

Well the actual size is 3.77 on the foulder is says 4.11 size and size on disk 3.77, So my guess is that there is a dummy file making it apear larger than what it is. When I did a copy protection scan it detected the dummy files and detects the libcrypt protection. The ISO
I wish they would make a scanner that would point these files out. But I guess thats asking too much.
Thank you for your replies I appreicate it.

I have pride to care, that is why.
See screenshots below. My disc is 4.13 GB.
Compare your file sizes.

My Files Size Match up to yours. Maybe its a copy protection other than dummy files are libcrypt. I couldn't find any new updated scanners, just the old ones. Thanks for you help. I appreicate it alot.

Your signature needs to be fixed.
If a game doesn't work, then most likely it needs to be rebuilt.

Rebuilding is easy using Gnie Xpert 2.0.
Just follow the steps, there are only 4 steps.
Note: Do not rebuild games that do not need to be rebuilt. I've done this before as an experiment, and rebuilding the game did not work in the PS2, but if I left the original ISO alone, then it works fine.

Don't you have to have plugins for each game youre working on? Ive had no luck at all with it. Ive read every forum or instructions I could find but still have not been able to rebuild a game with xert 2.0

hey. i've also had trouble with this rebuilding thing and havent gotten any games i attempted to rebuild to work. the two games i tried were tomb raider anniversary and tmnt. do you think you could help me in some way because i really want to figure it out.
and i was able to backup RE4 with no problems, so that game shouldn't need to be rebuilt.
you can also add manhunt 2 to your list. i have a working backup that all i did was use dvd decrypter to get.

Yea I have some new games that I need to update the list.
Considering that I do not have the games you have mentioned above, I can only give you an idea as to what to do. Now I know that there is Gnie Expert 1.05, but there is also a 2.0 version. From what I remember, select the plugin that is DVD5 shrinker iso (it will say something like DVD9 to DVD5).
After that, there are 4 steps I want to say. It will be build a Linker file, then extract the game, rebuild the game, and then rebuild the linker file. (something like that)
If done correctly, you will have a new iso and smaller than the original ISO.
One thing to note is that sometimes the game disc may have a dummy file in it. I discovered this in my bloodrayne 2 once. To fix it, you need to make the dummy file 0 Kilobytes and all is right in the world.
Once again, not everything needs to be rebuilt. I took a perfect working iso of We Love Katamari, rebuilt it, and the rebuilt game did not work, only the original ISO. If it doesn't work the first time, and you rebuild the game only to find it not working, and there are no dummy files, then I am stuck.
Note: Manhunt 2 is now officially added.

Oh I wish. But with the internet, you can do anything if you know how to search for it. How about that?

Those were just clues that the original writer gave me for his games. You can find him in this thread on the 1st page most likely.
What you need to rebuild games is to use Gnie Xpert. The current version is 2.0 I believe. Note that not all games need to be rebuilt. I have rebuilt a game that did not need it, and the copy did not work. If I use the original backup, it works fine. :P
You know if a game has a dummy file if it says Dummy in the root of the DVD. Not all games are like this. I got lucky on Bloodrayne 2, because I found the dummy file. The problem is these dummy files can screw up your burn, because they eat up so much room. Shrinking it to 0KB works great if you know what games need it.
