Hi, got the same problem. PSP with 3.80 m33-5 and 3.80 popsloader won't work with BOFIV no matter which pops i try. Could someone reupload that file please? T_T

Sure :), this ones a bit more up to date than the other one mentioned earlier. Just pick 3.40 for BoF4 or you get nothing but a white screen at start up.

guys it still doesnt work i got the new popsloader folder in there and enabled it now i tried holding r1 while the game is loading but still same result. do you think its the copy of the game?
can someone provide a link for the bOF4? im having problem looking for another link thanks in advance , btw the verssion of my psp is 3.71 m33-2

i have the new file of bof 4 here but the problem is still the same what should i do?i only see white screen after the game loads care for any help?

Only use 3.40 to boot from, otherwise you get the white screen.

hi i'm new here.
i have the same problem running breath of fire Iv. the trouble is that the screen blanks out during the animation scene but you can hear the music and voices. I tried holding down R before selecting the game, but nothing happens. no poploader menu or anything. is this a problem with the EBOOT that i have? i really want to play and i feel i'm very close to getting it right.

oh sorry to doublepost, but if it helps, my firmware is at 3.71 and i used the appropriate popsloader, yet the game still doesn't work after the CAPCOM screen

hey guys i have a psp fat 3.71 m33-3.... thanks for the tips that the breath of fire 4 still works with the help of popsloader.... i used 3.30.... and it realy works.... thanks for saving my head for crushing... m33 stil works on older psx games.....

I extracted it to my root folder, the link, and enabled the plugin, I got 3.90 m33-3 firmware, and when I start the game and click 3.30...it freezes and shuts down my psp...what did I do wrong?

Please can one of you help me with a little problem( but a persistent one) I finally found the Breath Of Fire IV file(psx Eboot) i put on my psp via POPSTATIONGUI, (i have custom firmware 3.71 m33-2. when i start it up, everything seems like its going good but then it shows the capcom screen and then stays white, i cant still hear the music clearly but i get nothing else. I have a multitude of other games that work just fine on it. can anyone help me fix this. i would really appreciate it, breath of fire IV is amazing i want it on it so bad!! help help

First you need to install the popsloader pack. Download Popsloader (Newer 3.90 pack): http://rapidshare.com/files/129487140/Complete_390_Popsloader.rar
Next load it onto your memory stick. Extract it and drag the seplugins to the root of the MS. If you already have a seplugins go ahead and choose to overwrite all.
Edit the pops.txt file to this if you have CWCheat too:
ms0:/seplugins/cwcheatpops.prx
ms0:/seplugins/popsloader.prx
Then just start up your PSP in safe mode holding the shoulder R button.
In plugins enable the popsloader.prx. Then Exit recovery.
Now boot BoF4. A pops menu will come up asking you what version to run. Run the 3.30 version for Breath of Fire IV. And there you go no more white screen. :)

That version should work fine on 4.01 M33-2 custom firmware.
At least I have had no issues with the popsloader plugin and I am using the same version since 3.80 M33-4 and above firmware.
