I hate America!!! Seriously... $399 for a PS3?! You think that's expensive?!
If it were that much in the UK everyone would have one, double that $399 and you've got what we have to pay right now...
$800 is a bit steep for a gaming console don't you think? *sigh*, better than an X360 but for rich people only

Luffy- I had a PS3 about 3 months ago. I got bored of it within a week, from pure lack of games at the time, hating to constantly update and the firmwares were large and i couldn't afford getting another game at the time. So I just decided to return it.
Shokz- That's just natural lol. We complain about prices here, someone else in the world has worse problems! It's the way of life :P
And my opinion of the SOCOM games:
SOCOM 1: Pretty cool, lacks many online features
SOCOM 2: The best, still not as developed with vehicles/ friends, but the best.
SOCOM 3: Started changing, newer features and good but different maps.
SOCOM CA: Modified version of S3, but with new maps which I like.
SOCOM FTB: Amazing for a PSP game. I didn't really like the lock-on.
SOCOM FTB 2: Like the first, but with better weapons and more realistc.
SOCOM Tactical Strike: Features of SOCOM 3/CA, but the horrible gameplay just doesn't allow you to use those features. So TS is HORRIBLE.
I cannot Judge Confrontation as of yet. It is looking kick-ass tho. Blood is back, Crossroads is back, and hopefuly some SOCOM 2 maps as well. The one thing i wanted in Combined Assault was some good S2 maps, this looks like it and I'm between a PS3/360 right now so this might make me go for a PS3.
(And Combined Assault is now 20 Bucks Canadian...)

Yes before the games were not good enough, but Resistance Fall of Man alone kept me occupied for months the online play gave me so much fun. If you want a ps3 nows the time to get one with all the new games that are out.
Back to Socom yeah its a disappointment but lets hope they make it up when confrontation comes out for the ps3.

Good to hear the feedback from all of this....I was debating on the next PSP game to buy and it was a toss-up between SOCOM TActical Strike (I loved SOCOM FTB2 by the way) & Silent Hill Origins I know two completely different games but I dont have a survival horror type game for the PSP and heard it was great!

Well they have to be fair and actualy judge it on how good a game it is. Not as much how good it is compared to previous SOCOM games... And the users are probly all hyped up because it looks really good.

Hehe, I went online a few days ago and there was maybe around 35 people on. I played a match and it was awkward.. I had to stay in one place the whole time and shoot.. wow lol.

Yeah.. did you know people on ebay are still buying this for the same price.. It'll suck for the SOCOM fans when they actualy play it... but oh well.. I think this game sucking is old news now....

Damn.. never'll happen to me.. certeinly will think twice before buying Confrontation (and a ps3 to play it) though. But as long as it was made by Zipper, I'm sure it will be fine.
