i will probably make another C2D machine with an ASUS Striker(extremely satisfied my my current C2D and striker and they are probably the best motherboard/cpu combo i have ever had) as my secondary machine, but for now, i guess i will live with the crappy ECS mobo.
i do think i fixed the problem tho because after upping the cpu voltage to 1.4, the stability issues are less common.
i am gonna try upping it to 1.45 and see where that takes me, maybe the issues will be gone...

A CPU shouldn't require that much voltage, the only reason uppig the voltage has helped is that the regulators on yourm board aren't working properly, and are providing less than they say they are. Raising the selected voltage will bring the actual voltage delivered to the CPU back up to the correct level.
