Soup is correct on the Singapore Verb DLs. READ the labels guys and gals cause I've seen the Made in India Verb DLs at my Best Buy.

Totally Agree on the made in Singapore. I won't buy any Made In India. At about $1.50 per disc, this is a Deal! All the ones I have seen at my Best Buy have been Singapore made. But, look at label before buying. Member JoeRyan says Made in India are very good, but I know what works for me, I intend to stick with it.
By The way, I edited my post about the qty. on Sale. My Bad.
Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

I have not, however, I know for fact that Verbatims made in Taiwan (DVD5) or Singapore( DVD+R DL ) for that matter burn well and have consistent high quality. My Opinion, if you know it works, stick with it. Why risk it? We work too hard for our money to waste it on possible inconsistent media quality.

I had my local computer store order a 20 pk spindle from NCIX (saved me the shipping cost)when it was on sale for $19.99 CAD. I had hoped for MIS but unfortunately was MII.
My one burner refused to write to the MII, even though it had previously wrote to the MIS. They were both Verbatim 2.4X DL. In fact, I tried a MIS next and it was fine. Go figure? Perhaps Joe can explain this one?
Rather than waste discs trying to figure out why, I tried in my LG 4163 burner, they worked.
BTW. Out of 20 MII, at least 6 discs had visible blemishes on the dye. Poor quality control, if you ask me.

Res2cue,
I'm finding it very difficult to find the MIS DL. During one sale, only 1 out of 3 FutureShops in my area had MIS, and I had to look for them. They were stashed behind other brands.
Look for sales at the Source, they regularly have 3pks in jewel cases on sale for $4.99 CAD.

alrighty, I have a $40 gift certificate for both Staples and Future shop burning a hole in my pocket though. :/ They will probably get spent on the next 100 spindle of verbs for $19.99 though, a 25 pack of DL last me a long long time.

I just got back from OfficeMax, and they had 3 MIS packages left. They pricematched the Best Buy $29.99 for the pack of 20, so I bought 2. Best Buy had the newer packaging, and they were ALL MII. OfficeMax had the older packaging and all were MIS.

krl23,
Thanks for the information, hopefully will help others in the USA.
Unfortunately, both Res2cue and I are in Canada. AFAIK, Best Buys in Canada do not carry Verbatim, at least not on their websites. I have neither a Best Buy or an Office Max in my area.

only the new MII Verbatim at my BB. Didn't even bother picking them up. I didn't have a good experience with them last time I bought them from MicroCenter.

Hmmm interesting...
Here in Australia all we have are MIS Verbatims. Maybe coz shipping them in from Singapore costs less I dunno?
I looked at a few stores, virtually every pack of Verbatims was MIS.

@Amir89
Maybe it's because you Aussies have not bought up the original MIS discs yet?
