Didn't have any problems with this one (R5). Acidrip.. main title.. easy, though it was split into 4 parts (one only a few seconds.. could that be the piece that is giving people trouble?) which I had to join up in the right order and then reauthor. I usually do all that anyways and build a clone of the menus by ripping all the other bits too. Customer sometimes wants the extras (why I don't know)

Are you running the most recent version of AnyDvd? If not, update and try again.

May try using Deep Analysis before hitting Backup! and see if that helps.

I bought the new dvd "The Eye" today, and am trying to back it up, Ive tried everything to rip it, various decrypters...Movie Only, Custom, etc...no luck.

Using DVDFab 5.0.2.8 I can get to the LAST 7 seconds..and then it hits read errors. The disk is PERFECTLY clean, just FYI.

I tried on my laptop, which usualy will rip most anything my tower wont...still nada.

Any thoughts?

I can?t afford to buy Anydvd right now, but I found a way to rip just the movie + menus.

1. I previewed the movie and saw that it was 1:36:33 in length.

2. I used ?HD DVD Decrypter Platinum 4? in custom mode. I had to disable pathplayer otherwise it would not open the disk.

3. From Custom Mode I selected the title with the length of ?1:36:33?. There are at least

4 different titles with different lengths listed. This is similar to the way HD DVD Decrypter Platinum 4 displayed the new Rambo movie.

5. It ripped the entire movie + menus at about 85% of the original quality (I kept all the audio tracks; otherwise the percentage would have been higher).

6. For some reason after I decrypt movies using HD DVD Decrypter and can?t burn them using the same program, because it freezes up my PC. So I than open the movie using DVD Shrink (latest version that was released a while back).

7. I have DVD Shrink create an ISO image of the ripped files and have it set to burn automatically when finished, using DVD Decrypter.

8. The whole process took me less than 40 minutes and the movie plays on my DVD player flawlessly.

I have been doing this for several years, but let me just say that I love this site. With all the new protection they keep putting on this new DVDs it?s getting harder to make a backup. Whenever I get stumped and can?t back one up I ALWAYS checkout this forum, because you guys a VERY knowledge. Just wanted to contribute another way I found to backup this film. It was not that great by the way!

Maybe a little OT here, but this movie put me to sleep. Even with Jessica Alba, it couldn't keep me awake.
