@donewell,
I also been using Acronis for some time, started with 7 skipped 8 went to 9 and then 10.
May just skip 11 all together, it doesn?t show me anything I can?t live without. Lol
Normally I use a 80 GB for my main drive but had one crater a couple of months ago and already had the 250 that I replaced it with. That?s why I don?t keep my backups in a secure zone, when you loose the drive completely, you loose your backup.
There are three kinds of men: The ones that learn by reading; The few who learn by observation;
The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves...
I just increased the size of my c drive partition from 30gig to 50 gig last week, Just open director suite and chose the wizard to increase the size of a partition . It will ask which one to increase , and where to take the free space from. Then you will have to comit after for it to do the job and reboot. It's a no brainer.
Okay, I have increased the size of partition C: to 12 gigs from 5 using the bootup disk. However, bootup is still not very fast. It's faster than before resizing, but not as fast as it used to be. Otherwise, everything seems fine, although DDS seems to have screwed itself up, as it recognizes my primary drive having 5 gigs and 95 gigs unallocated space, while everything else - Win Commander, Windows Explorer - recognises the two partitions properly. I am now running defrag and then chkdsk just in case.

I got my image 11 for free , When they talked me into upgrading from 9 to 10 ,They told me that if there were any major upgrades in a year it would be free. The 11 came out 1 month before that ran out and they gave me 11 for free. AS for loosing my back ups in a hard drive melt down, they would still be on my main drive and just make new back up to new second hard drive. The image of c drive os and program files in secure zone, I have that on a disk also, for quick install.
