Yes it tells the user to contact a service center.....
I was referring to the Service/Repair manual, not the user's manual.

There are service manuals which detail the entire breakdown of the unit.

The service/repair manual is 200+ pages long for each printer and is used for the factory/depot repair of the printer. I cannot speak for the RX680 specifically, but I have these manuals for the Photo Stylus 825 and RX260/280. I have found the one for the RX585 but have not yet located one for the RX680.

I'm sure that it exists, I just haven't found it yet.

Pardon me Dailun for jumping in, but I have an Epson R280 and would like to know if you can supply me with a link to the service/repair manual you found for this printer. Thanks!

Oops. How about a parts list? Hopefully this is the right one.

I was thinking about buying a refurbished Epson RX595 with the ciss already installed for $119.00 my First queston is that a good buy? and second are they idiot prove as I am an idiot, with some what technical abilities. Thanks in advance for any replies, I want to print my own bootleg cd's for my own use is this a good one for that application?

NO it's not "idiot proof".

I have the RX595 and the R280. I have had my share of problems with both (and ink stained hands to prove it.

I have spent hours tinkering with it when things go wrong, but when it does work properly (more often than not), it works great.

IMHO, Refillable cartridges would be reliable but require higher maintenance.

I put refillable cartridges in my Dad's 595 because he prints a much lower volume. I continue to use CISS but as I've said before, they're "not for the timid".

Thanks for the reply. If I do get one with ciss are the inks easy to buy for it? Also $ 119.00 US, good price for a refrubed one? With Ciss already? Thanks in advance, lightscribe is a pain in the arse.

I would recommend checking the Epson clearance section on their site regularly. I picked up a refurbished RX680 with cd tray, inks and 1 year warranty for $85 and free shipping.

Unfortunately sold out now but the link below will show what they have to offer.
