I'm about to pull the trigger on my video card.

Any last recommendations for cards in the $200 price range. ($175 - $250 US).

I don't have to have the best or latest. I would like "good value".

For instance, I got my i7 920 for $199. That was a "great value" IMO.

I want to play pretty much any game on a 24" monitor.

Do I need to be more specific? I don't even play any PC games right now so I can't provide a list. I would like to run the latest games.

Thanks for any recommendations you provide.

I am choosing between these cards. I am not really concerned with the price difference. Should I go for the highest Mhz? Or should I go for the Hawx game?

Only slight differences.

$194.99 850MHz XFX HD-489A-ZDFC Radeon HD 4890 1GB

$214.99 875MHz XFX HD-489A-ZDEC Radeon HD 4890 Xtreme with FREE HAWX

$219.99 900MHz XFX HD-489A-ZDDC Radeon HD 4890 XXX Edition

Thanks so much.

I think you'll be fine with either the cheapest one, or if you'll play HAWX, buy the one that comes with. None of these cards are overclocked so far you can't just replicate that speed yourself. The only time I'd say buy a pre-clocked card is when they've got it up to 1Ghz, i.e. the Black Edition.

I was thinking about getting both of these. One of each.

SAMSUNG Black 22Xhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151175

PLEXTOR Black 24X http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827249054

I can rip two movies at once right? Burn two at once also?

And then these are the only other things that I think I am getting. I have $600 so I think that will cover it. I had to save up to finish the build.

CORSAIR CMPSU-750HX $164.99http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010

Noctua NH-U12P $71.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608007

ARCTIC COOLING MX-2 $7.98http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186020

Total for this stuff plus the GPU is $534.51.

That puts this build total at $1568.23. This does not include a monitor or OS.

You could do if you wanted, but why the 750W PSU? A 650 would do with a single card.

Ok. You guys see what I have bought so far.

I am down to GPU, PSU and Heatsink.

I am open to suggestions on the PSU. I have a couple people saying I don't need a 750 and that their may be less expensive models. If I am giving up any quality to save a few dollars, I am not interested. If I should go with a 650 or 630 I need to know. I would like to have a neat well kept case so don't you think I should go with modular? I want to overclock and I will probably add several hard drives. I really don't see that I would add another video card but I would like to have enough power to do so if I decided to.

What do you think?
