Problems with Toshiba DVD Burner

Hello.
I bought a Toshiba SD-R5272 DVD Burner few months ago and have burned few DVDs with it until now.
I started a burning today with DVD Decrypter and the burning process never passed the first step (writing leading ...)
I stopped that after 10 minutes of waiting and restarted the computer because DVD Decrypter was frozen.

Now I can't even write/read DVD's with the drive. When I use DVD Decrypter, it says "Device not ready, medium not present".

I can open/close the drive, so it responds to some actions, and WinXP says "Device is running properly".

I have tried re-installing the driver with no success.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be and what I should do ?
