Ok posted this in differant section while ago , but then didnt know the main part of prob , now I do best place is here ,

the prob is whent a dvd disc is put ino my slim ps2 it turn off automattically


I was modded with a dms4 lite by pros and will run 100% without anything disc in (i.e can disable chip and go to settings)
and runs fine with cd media i.e bios/firmware discs , psx media , etc, etc

can hear fan working and everything seems ok

just goes green then turns back to red in seconds of having a dvd disc

When they installed the chip did they install the ToxicBIOS v1.3 with it? You will need that to play your back ups without a boot disc. Hope they were also smart enought to install a laser fix.

I have a slim with DMS4 Pro with Summone laser fix (running ToxicOS V0.2) and it works great and has for 6 months now

@Neok,

If I were you, I would at least contact that place that did the modification for your PS2, and have them take a look at it again. Was it working just fine before and after it was modded? If so, then it may be some fuses or power issue. I may be wrong though, but hey it won't hurt to check them out. I don't have "DMS4" so I can't really say much. Hopefully, someone with more knowledge or with a similar issue will be able to troubleshoot it for you.

the chip came blank (to keep legal in UK) I know the need for toxic and have it , but my ps2 does the same with originals , Have contacted modders , but are off for week so wont get a reply prolly for a week , how could It be a fuse prob if cd (psx and flash update discs i.e toxic) work perfectly aswell as wroking fine with out a disc in?
