first off, piracy isn't allowed in the forums so I have a sneaky suspicion that you willed get banned. Second off, The fact that you downloaded it off the internet might mean that there might be a problem with the .iso or that the person that made the .iso in the first place screwed up. I recommend buying the dvd you tried to pirate :-) I'm sure it would work then

Don't worry about getting banned, they usually give you a warning the first time around unless you do something insanely stupid. Plus, what your asking is allowed.

If the menu's don't work then bugbaby is probably right, the creator screwed up making the image. You could always try Daemon Tools to load the .iso before burning to see if it works. Anytime you D/L a movie your taking a risk, be it a garbage file, wasting bandwith or a lawsuit(depending on where you live).....
Again bugbaby is right, only way to get a perfect copy everytime is to buy it, or <cough> rent.

As far as the disc not working in you standalone DVD player. What brand media are you using? Some players are picky about what media they'll play. Have you ever made a working Dvd, or is this your first go at it?

Hmm this is my first go. I didnt test the dvd b4 i burnt it because i was hoping it was perfect lol. Umm the brand of dvd is MINIS, no idea if its a good brand or not. The menus, they show but the buttons dont goto the different episodes on the disk and it doesnt pause it just keep playing through al lthe pages of the menu.

If you really want a menu you can always import the VOB files to an authoring tool like nerovision or sony dvdarchitect (architect gives you better control over menus but nerovision lets you combine the vobs into one movie so I would recomend nerovision for this case). You can purchase these programs like a *scoff* upstanding citizen such as myself would do or get them the same way you got the movie. Both these programs are easy to use and should maintain aspect ratio, give you proper bit rate for a DVD-5, etc. Good luck!
