CPU: 949 MHz AMD Duron(tm)
Memory: 512 MB
Directx: the latest
WM Player : the latest

And whene i try to play movie Back to the Future 3 with Windows Media Player,it crashes.Now i am making a dvd from the ratdvd file...but i don't want to do this with every movie that i can't play normally.

What can i do?suggestion?

upgrade your processor...that processor is no where NEAR the requirements...it plays flaky at points on my 2ghz processor....

i dont think that they will EVER drop below 1.5ghz (though i hope for your sake that they do) Generally speaking a program normally doesnt drop processor requirement wise TOO much from the initial release.....if it dropped down to 1.5ghz even, i would be happy.......as far as thats concerned, i hate to say it, but i think your system is getting to be a little too dated unforutnately.......

Runs decent on my 1.8ghz

Mostly intend to use the container format as just that. BAck up my DVDs to rat, then put multiple rats on a single DVD+/-R . . . Could give a goat about playback on my PC past a test viewing.

Define flaky playback ?
