I've had this trouble since switching from Memorex printable DVD+R to Taiyo Yuden's printable DVD+R. When I first insert the media you can hear my drive struggle to read the disc and I have to hit the eject button. I wiggle around the disc and reinsert the media and that normally is all it needs. But why does it fail on the first try every time. Some days, it has to go thru the above process twice before it will recognize my media. I have tried many different firmwares, the stock, and custom ones from the RPC website. Any ideas?
