dvd decrypter can't create an image of my dvd+r DL backup. i used the same drive i burned it with. the dvd+r DL backup plays great in my standalone dvd player. i want to create an image of it and it won't work. anybody else try this?? any help please..

Need some more info. What is your error message?
I done several backups of backups (not DL though)using decrypter but it should be the same.

no error message, it seems as if either program can switch to the second layer. it stops creating the image exactly half way every time.

last night i used dvdfab decrypter and it copied all the files to my hard drive but they were in the format of AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders. so now i'm working on either burning the folders to dvd or creating an image out of them

Did you use iso read and then write in decrypter?

yes, and i just tried again with DVD Decrypter and keep getting errors like these halfway through writing the image to the hdd.

W 00:40:45 Failed to read Sector 1654385 - L-EC Uncorrectable Error

it always happens with DVD Decrypter and shrink when it looks to switch layers.

i don't get it? i burned the dvd+r DL in the same drive with DVD Decrypter but now it won't read the disc to make an image. wtf!

Why dont you try choosing to ignore Read errors on DVD Decrypter that may help

i tried that too. it looks like the only way is to use dvdfab then open the VIDEO_TS files with DVD Shrink to make a full dvd9 image then burn with DVD Decrypter.
