How do I change my default media player?

It's currently on Jukebox and I'd like it to be on Media Player.

Right click on your Drive and click properties then click on the auto play tab and you should know what to do next!

Sorry...but I don't understand!

I right-clicked on the C Drive and Media Player, went to properties, but there was no autoplay tab.

I'm a computer illiterate!

Im sorry too right click on your DVD or CD Drive instead of the C: Drive. And youll see it.

open my computer.

click on tools > folder options. click on the file types tab. now you can scroll through and change what media files (.mp3, .cda for cd audio...) you want opened with what player.

on a side note, if you listen to a lot of music, do yourself a favor and checkout winamp. its hands down the best and most popular windows music player. windows media player is garbage.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

You can also do it via WMP by going to: Tools > Options > File Type (Tab), then hit select all then apply. Now close WMP and start it back up. Now WMP is your default media player.
