Hi
Sorry if this has been covered before but i have been trying for ages to get faster downloads (like everyone else) I was using a adsl 4 port router, i think it made by Conextant but after reading some other posts i think they are just the chip manufacturer, i have checked their hompage but cant see anything for the router, there is no manufacturers name on it or the box. I have tried using guides that others have made but the configuration screens are totally different and i got completely lost! Could anyone point me in the right direction for a guide for this router? So i went back to using my usb modem, this has improved the downloads from 10k to about 50k, i am on a 2.2mb connection.Is there a way of configuring a usb modem to open up ports? I am also using Sygate personal firewall can anyone assist in helping me setting it up correctly.
I open up sygate, then open applications, and click on bittorent then on advance.
I get options then for trusted ips for this application - what do i fill in here?
Remote server ports TCP - UDP - what goes in there?
Local ports TCP - UDP - What goes in there?
Am i even in the right configuration setup?
I am using bittorent 4.0.2
Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone for the great help i recieved on my question!
I have figured it out myself and am now getting 120 KB on average, anyone else having similar problems with sygate pm me and i will try to help
