ok all I need to know about is if it is possible to change the book type of a dvd -r to dvd-rom thanks

I would say no but got into a squable last time I did. Read this and decide for yourself. http://www.cdfreaks.com/article/150 All I will say is if it can be done, it has not been proven to be beneficial as it has been with dvd+r media.
