Is ur DVD Reader or writer -R or +R or both
this could b one of the reasons.
if this is the case try to get AnyDVD and this will figure out the regional code and then u may have to reburn it if it does not play and then u can use AnyDVD with Decrypter to burn to hard drive then Clone DVD to put it back to DVD and then it should b able to play.

Yes it's a DVD-R/+R reader. Yes I have AnyDVD it just that reader isn't reading the disc. The disc is a burnt DVD+r, I'm trying to copy the disc myself. Any clues.

and i'm saying you can use dvdinfo to do a media info check - 2nd icon from left in dvdinfo. paste results here. then provide the other info i/we asked for and we can get you sorted, otherwise you will continue to have problems..

After reading other posts with the same exact problem and myself having this problem also I am thinking that it's PowerDVD causing the trouble because others with this problem are also using PowerDVD. I think when I get home I am gonna rip out "PowerDVD" and go from there and see if I get any results for ya. Or maybe you can uninstall "POwerDVD" and reboot and try another program instead. If you try that and find out anything let me know too ;)

Well I have some information that may help. I got my new burned DVD +R to read and it's a stupid little mistake when you burn your cd's. Using Nero I went in and set it to ISO2 mode which accepts longer character length. Bam now it reads the dvd. I feel embarassed almost on this one. Kinda weird that my Memorex burner won't accept backups in ISO1 mode on some dvd's. See if that helps at all ;)
