Well, my cheap DVD+R's didn't work (at least they don't work with Monster Hunter - anything specific I should know? And yes, I did all the DNAS stuff), and after getting nothing conclusive from the other posts on here, I just want to know, generally, what kind of DVDs I should be buying.

Please help!

GOOD Media. Like Verbatim, or TDKs, Or Ritek G04/G05's.

PS2 Tend to like DVD-R's better in most instances.

i agree with Mik3h, and would add my favorite Philips 8X DVD-R to the list
I always use -R for games and +R for movies and it has worked really well.

For anybody who has the Slimline PS2 and uses Swap Magic, have your experiences been successful with dvd+r or dvd-r?

I just went to Best Buy the other day and bought a 50 pack Verbatim DVD+R and Verbatim DVD-R. I am wondering which will be better used given my situation of Slimline and Swap Magic. I heard somewhere that DVD-Rs are good for older PS2s, but that for newer models and slimlines that DVD+Rs are better. Can anybody confirm?

Please provide any help possible. Thanks!
