I have tried many, many torrents out there and I cant get them to download for me.

I click on the file to Download and it comes over to the download screen saying its connecting and then it sits there saying that.... I have left if for up to 8 hours and nothing changes.

I then finally get one to work and it downloads but my speed jumped around from 2 up to 80+ down to almost .3 over and over. So then I let it keep running. i notice someone was uploading the file from me once I got enough and his speed uploading from me was 20x faster then what it was when I was getting it.

Can someone please help me to get downloads started?

I also heard you need to have some torrent files on your computer to upload to make it faster. I now have 9 full rip movies as torrent files (I think) and 2 have been uploaded but the others not touched..

Please help me out.

Have you read this thread? It was a sticky, so MAYBE you might've read it. But I doubt it.

Yeah I read through that.

I think I found the problem.... I need someone to confirm this for me. the ports I got open are....

36534 - 36631 is this right? It was the default that was setup.

I got a spot that I can pick how many upload and how many I can download. What numbers should I put in here?

The speed I am downloading at right now is-- 12 kb up to 27 sometimes.

How do I keep this a steady rate?

Im not dumb with computers but this torrent stuff is killing me.

Be patient. =)

What is your advertised Cable speed? I would try setting it somewhere between 20kbs/25kbs upload limit and setting 0 as download limit. If you're talking about the number of downloads, I would put 2 - 5, but that doesn't really matter.

And you only need to use one port for Azureus...

Maybe I am mistaken then.. Is the spend 30kbs pretty fast?

Mine runs around there a lot. It also drop alot to to around 10-15kbs.

So I never have a steady flow of speed at all.

Is this normal?
