ISO file / Game Reads blank... HELP

Hello, I am a newbie to the whole world of burning games... Anyways, I got this .rar file for a USA version of Batman Begins for the PS2. Here's what I have done so far. I used winrar to extract the file batmanbegins.iso. It took me forever to do, because I had to enter in a password in order to extract it (which the password had to be found on a website in portuguese, had to become a member, etc.). I finally was able to extract the iso to my desktop. I then, opened up DVD Decrypter and opened batmanbegins.iso as my source file. I then went to MODE/ISO/WRITE and then burned it onto a Maxell DVD-R (I read into the forum and it said this is what I should do). Anyways, we put the dvd in our PS2 and we get the 'Playstation 2' logo to appear but then it's a black/blank screen after that. Is there a step that I completely forgot to do?

that was correct. Have you used those discs before with success?
Have you tried burning it at a different speed?
everything you did was correct so i can't be sure why it didn't work.
and what method do you use to play your back ups?
Swap Magic, Modchip?

I back everything up via modchip. I tried burning it at various speeds and I even tried using Nero to burn the .iso file as an image, but nothing working. I just found out though that the file from that site is corrupt. I feel better now knowing that it wasn't anything I did wrong. Thanks for the help.
