Router is configured correctly, no NAT error, not behind any firewalls, all necessary ports are open (6881-6889 and show no error). However, I achieve marginally decent D/L speeds, but the lines are inconsistent. These are not all downloads from the same site, and they are all affected at the same time. Everyone minute or so, the downloads crash back to 0 and hold for a minute or two and then resume. Any ideas? Please help.
On some trackers this is quite common, maybe not to fall to 0 completely, but to drop speed. When you think about it you could have been downloading a part of a file from someone with a massive upload speed, but that might be the only part that user has got so once the transfer is finished, he/she has nothing else for you yet!
Also 6881-6889 are not allowed to be used on a lot of BT trackers, mainly because those ports are often targets of ISP blocking etc... but since u actually managed to connect, its unlikely that that is your problem!
Understandable, however, this was not my problem. All downloads would crash to 0 at the same exact point in time. Not a random incident, common, almost able to set your watch by it. Every 2-3 minutes, ALL torrents stop downloading and cascade to 0 only to restart 2 minutes from then. The one thing I did find out when I ran a NAT scan was that port 6881 was listed as OK!... when the downloads were going and of course NAT Error when it wasn't, however, it did right itself and then started the downloads again without any changed done.
