Ok i have had prblems burning this game! I used dvddecrypter to put it onto my hard drive and then i patched the ISO file with ppf-o-matic and then i used dvd decrypter to write the mds file to a Maxell DVD-R but this is my log:

i think this is telling you to burn to this disc at 4x.you should give it a go at 4x and see if it works.and why do you need to patch the game?

I tried backing up the game with DVD-Rs and it never works I then tried my friend's backup on DVD+R and it works fine.(With Swap Magic 3.3) You can use DVD+R and im sure it will work. Oh and by the way I use the same media as you.

I need to patch the game because it is Japanese! I will try a dvd+r but i have a sneaky feelin that it is a problem with my burner! If someone can give me any other kind of help i would be grateful!

ive never heard of a patch that can switch a game from jap to PAL or NTSC.i dont think you can switch the language by patching it either.most people patch games to get them to work with swap magic.or to play online games.you should give the disc a try at 4x and see if it works.

No mate i am just patching it to change the language from japanese to english and not to PAL from NTSC! You definately can do this! Are you sure that there is no other problem that might be causing my failures from looking at my log?

only thing i can think of is burn the iso instead of the mds.or burn at 4x.in the log the only speed it had listed for your disc was 4x.i always burned the iso and never had a problem.
